International
Globrands has developed names for many leading international brands. We work with name proposals from different countries, and can subject them to our LinQuest tests.
In these tests, we check names in all relevant markets for pronounceability, unexpected associations and, of course, eventual 'disasters' (like the well known Chevrolet "Nova", which means "doesn't go" in Spanish - the name was changed into "Caribe").
Moreover, in every country, different legal restrictions play a role.
Our good relationship with the following organisations is of great value to us:
The Global Naming Network is a globally active group in which we participate, consisting of agencies specialised in brand naming in countries varying from China to the United States. We support eachother in the legal, linguistic and cultural fields. Our partnership allows us to work with local people for creation and checks.
